Overview,
Abi Peak Mt. Abi peak situated in the Khumbu Himal range, which is located in the Mahalangur Himalayan range Solukhumbu region of Nepal. This mountain previously called Cholo and wellknown also by Kangchung peak from the pass that reaches it - the Kangchung La. Mountaineers planning to climb the 8,000ers consider Mt Abi as a perfect training mountain for ice climbing and high altitude acclimatization. Mt.  Abi requires careful ascent due to the technical ridges towards its peak. This peak was first issued a climbing permit in 2002 and although it is classed as moderate. It has been successfully climbed less than 6 times. The recognized route is Lukla-Mera la- Abi Base Camp.

We will do the necessary paperwork for expedition permit organize all accommodation before and after expedition. Itinerary,


Day 01
  • Kathmandu Fly to Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International airport and be met by seven star Rep. and Transfer to hotel and later go on a familiarization walk with one of our guides & Team at seven start trekking & Tour office.

Day 02

  • Kathmandu, you enjoy an exciting flight to Lukla (2860m, 9384ft). Trek  to Phakding. (2622m). Overnight in lodge.

Day 03

  • Trek to Namche Bazar (3340m, 10959ft).  Sagarmatha National Park has its entrance here and you will have to show your permit. Namche Bazar is the largest village and the administrative center of the Khumbu region. Overnight in lodge.

Day 04

  • To Khumjung (3790m),  called the green valley. Visit the local Khumjung Gompa, the school, hike to Kunde and visit the hospital and the Gompa. Overnight in lodge.

Day 05

  • Trek to Dole (4040m). Leaving Khumjung you have a choice of two trails up to Mong La.  After steep down to Phortse Tanga. From Phortse Tanga on the trail to Dole is a gradual ascent up the valley passing through patches of birch and rhododendron forest where the elusive musk deer can sometimes be seen. Overnight in tented camp.

Day 06

  • Trek to Machermo (4410m,). Walking along the alpine meadow with yaks and alpine high land birds and flowers, with view of Cho Oyu (8153m, ) in the North.

Day 07

  • Trek to Gokyo Lakes (4750m, ). The path emerges at a small bridge over the Dudh Kosi, now only a clear stream and marks the first of the Gokyo Lakes, populated with its amazing high altitude ducks. The second Gokyo Lake is a lot larger.S Just before Gokyo, there is a chautara covered with prayer flags. From here you can see Gokyo village. Overnight in tented camp.

Day 08

  • . Hiking to Gokyo Ri (5,333m, ) and back to Gokyo Lake. There are stunning views of the upper Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier and an incredible panoramic view of the whole Khumbu Himalayas, such as giants as Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho-Oyu and Mt. Gychung Kang can be seen. After breakfast, trek  to Tagnag (4661m,). Cross the crevassed glacier and reach the lateral moraine on the far side, and you'll have the earth under your feet again. The village is just below a small cliff. Overnight in tented camp.

Day 09

  • Trek to Abi Peak Base Camp (5350m). Overnight in tented camp.

Day 10

  • High Camp (5600m). Overnight in tented camp.

Day 11

  • Summit Mt. Abi Peak (6097m) and return to Base Camp. Overnight in tented camp.

Day 12

  • Reserve day. Overnight in tented camp.

Day 13

Trek to Pheriche (4280m). Crossing Chola Pass (5368m). Overnight in lodge.

Day 14

  • Trek to Namche Bazar. Overnight in lodge.

Day 15

  • Trek to Lukla. Overnight in lodge.

Day 16

  • Fly back to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel.

Day 17

  • Final departure.

Bookings and Payments 

All Booking are made 45 days prior, with at least 30% of payment of the Trekking cost with additional full payment  & other government charges. This will constitute acceptance by you of these Terms and Conditions. You need to submit a copy of each passport to our office via email or fax including two photos of passport size for TIMS Card and Trekking Permit Purpose. All payments are required per person as per trip.

Note: 10% commission will be provide for the tour agents/tour operators.
50% discount for a tour leader if there are 10 – 15 pax in a group and 100% free for the tour leader if there are 25 and above pax in a group.
